Candyman by Christina Aquilera Pop |
|
Notes: Sounds like modern version of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. High energy, High impact, but can be modified to low impact. Very tongue in cheek. YouTube Video Links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4kR8OQCrlQ The real video
Intro to verse: Alternate knees up. Put arms in an L shape parallel to floor and drop hands down as knee comes up. Do knees low impact here to give this option. 1st Verse: Keep the same knees but you can here do a more bouncy version. Chorus “He’s a one stop shop..”: Chasse right (shuffle or triple step), then mambo back. Go back left. Then stop with wide feet and bring arms up from the bottom doing shaking jazz hands 8cts on the right side. Then 8 cts to the left. Intro to Verse and 2nd Verse: Same as before. Chorus “He’s a one stop shop..”: Same as before. Musical 3rd Verse “Shoo be dee dee dop bop bop..”: Same as other verses. Chorus “He’s a one stop shop..”: Same as before. Intro to Verse and 4th Verse: Same as before. Bridge: Same as first chorus move. Chasse and Mombo. Stay here and put arms straight out to sides. When Christina starts singing, do a circle around your head with one arm (I call it combing your hair) as you mambo. Then on “He’s got those lips like sugar cane”, go back to the verse knees and on “He’s a sweet talkin..” do the shaking jazz hands again 2x each side. Finale: Same as verses.
