Dance, Dance by The Fallout Boys           Alternative

Notes:

So, this song is belly-dance inspired and it is done with your entire class in a big circle.  LeRae “Mizara” Hipps, an awesome belly dancer, introduced this song and this choreography to me.  Until then, I had never really liked this song.  Now I love it and you will too :)

Intro:

Hip snaps.  Move your hips right and left and squeeze the butt cheek of the side you are going to.  That’s what gives it the “snap”.

1st Verse:

Choo choos to the right 16 cts. (These are just hip snaps on one side and these travel so your big circle is going to move counterclockwise.)  Then go to the left 16 x.  Then 8 Egyptian Basics (half-tempo).  (These are done by giving a hip bump to the front alternating left and right with arms above head and twisting wrists)

Chorus “Dance, dance” :

Do the Egyptian basics in tempo with the song (yes, it will be super duper fast) and have everyone move forward to tighten up the circle.  Then move them back.

Intro to 2nd verse:

Hip snaps.

2nd verse:

Same as first verse.

Chorus “Dance, dance” :

Same as before.  Wooohooo!!!

Musical intro to Bridge:

Hip snaps.

Bridge:

Camels to close circle (Step right leg in front of left, and body roll as you move forward 8x, You can twirl wrists too if you want). Then step right leg behind left and do the camels backing up.

Chorus “Dance, dance” :

Same as before.  Wooohooo!!! This time you’ll have time to move up, move back and then move up again.

Finale:

Hip snaps, then back up with slow Egyptian basics on “Dance, Dance”.
