Simarik by Tarkan (Kiss Kiss)           Belly

Notes:

I’ve always called this song “Kiss Kiss” because of the kissy sounds, but thankfully Cassandra McCullough enlightened me andtold me the real name of the song, which is Simarik and it is by Tarkan.  If I’m not mistaken, from what I’ve gathered it is Turkish.  Check out the video.   Anyway, this is  belly dance inspired choreography.

Intro and 1st verse:

Moving towards left– cross right, step out left, cross right, step out left and snap hip.  Then go back to the right.  You can add in your arms as you snap hip to left, lift left arm bent at elbow and right arm above head.  Reverse for other side.

Chorus “Kiss Kiss” :

4 hip snaps R, L, R, L then reverse body roll up starting at knees.  Keep going till music changes.

Bridge:

Step forward right and hip snap left. Step forward left and hip snap right. Do this 6 times total and then walk backward with a shoulder shimmy.

Intro to 2nd verse:

Hip bumps with right leg forward, facing left corner.

2nd verse:

Same as before.

Chorus “Kiss Kiss” :

Same as before except go L,R,L,R.

Intro to Final Chorus:

Hip bumps with left leg forward, facing right corner.   You’ll stay here a little bit longer than you did on the other side (which drives me crazy), but it’s the way the music goes.

Chorus “Kiss Kiss” :

Same as before.  Lead with R side 2x and L side 2x.
