Answer Chapel Hill, because that’s where I went to school. London, because I lived there for a short time right after college.

Answer March 23^rd – and yes I’m an Aries through and through.

Question How old were you when you started dancing?
Answer Three

Question Do you have any formal training?
Answer I trained in tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical for 10 years.

Question What has been your most memorable QCDO experience?
Answer Once, at a Supersize Friday DanceOut we were dancing to “Time of My Life” and I took a moment to look around the room. There were almost 70 people there that night and every person was smiling and having a blast. Something about that many people being so happy at the same time will always stick with me. It’s the essence of our classes.

Question What style of dance do you love the most?
Answer Hip Hop, Reggaeton and Salsa

Question Where did you go to school?
Answer I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Performance Studies where I adapted novels into stage plays, then directed them.

Question What is your “real job”?
Answer I am the Administrative Manager for John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods.

Question What other talents/hobbies do you have?
Answer I love to throw a party! And quite frankly, my hobbies are all the Bravo! Reality shows. I love the Real Housewives of Everywhere, Kathy Griffin is my idol, and Jeff Lewis is the funniest person on television.

Question What or who inspired you to become an instructor?
Answer The fact that dance inspired fitness has changed my life in such a positive way left me no choice than to share that with others. Well, that and the fact that one of my best friends and QCDO Helper Megan Tolley (Little Megan) said that I MUST.

Question What have you learned by being on the QCDO team?
Answer I have learned that the best colleagues are the ones that see your potential, and push you to be your best.

Question What are your favorite dance moments from movies, TV, and/or stage?
Answer “Mein Herr” from Cabaret (choreo Bob Fosse), “Cool” and “America” from West Side Story (choreo by Jerome Robbins), The Finale from Step Up 2: The Streets,  “If” by Janet Jackson (choreo by Tina Landon),  “Slave” by Britney Spears (choreo by Wade Robson), and every Michael Jackson dance video ever made.

Question If you could go anywhere for vacation, where would you go?
Answer I’m dying to go to Spain I’d love to see the architecture in Barcelona, and find an authentic flamenco show in Seville.

Question What is your all-time food weakness?
Answer French Fries. No question.

Question If you could take dance lessons in any style, what style would you choose?
Answer Flamenco. I love the rhythms and the skirts.

Question What would you like the QCDO family to know about you?
Answer That any time I’m teaching, it’s the happiest moment of my day.

Question What does being an instructor mean to you?
Answer It means that I spend more time fooling with an iPod than I ever imagined I would. It means that I wear really bright pants and love to collect Zumba bracelets. It means that I go through tennis shoes really fast. It means that I’m sore. It means that I’m always choreographing something in my head. It means that I talk about dance more than almost anything else. It means that I’m fulfilled.
