Question Who is someone that inspires you?
Answer My Parents. My mother taught me to love dance and music of all kinds. My father taught me how to be independent.
Question What has been your most memorable QCDO experience to date?
Answer When my husband, Travis Rhyne, proposed to me in front of my Monday night Zumba class at NHBC. Everyone seemed to be in on it; participants, helpers, the instructor team, my parents…I didn’t have a clue! It was completely amazing and perfect in every way. I couldn’t have asked for a more appropriate scenario for a proposal…it had all the things that I love in life; my family, my dance family, dancing, jewelry, and of course, Travis!
Question What style of dance do you love the most?
Answer I love hip-hop, but I also really enjoy the latin rhythms, especially salsa

Answer I graduated from UNC Greensboro

Answer I am a move coordinator for All American Relocation
Question What other talents/hobbies do you have?
Answer I enjoy crafting/jewelry making, going to see live music, formal writing/editing, collecting milk glass.
Question What other types of exercise & activities do you enjoy besides dance-fitness?
Answer Hiking and camping.
Question What or who inspired you to become an instructor?
Answer Angie inspired me to become an instructor.
Question What have you learned by being on the QCDO team?
Answer I’ve learned that I actually AM confident and entertaining. I’ve also learned that I am good at teaching specific dance moves by breaking them down and explaining them.
Question What are your favorite dance moments from movies, TV, and/or stage?
Answer I love the scene in the Havanna club from Guys and Dolls w/ Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons. I think it sparked a love for Latin rhythms.
Question If you could go anywhere for vacation, where would you go?
Answer India, France, Italy
Question What is your all-time food weakness?
Answer Indian! (or mashed potatoes)
Question If you could take dance lessons in any style, what style would you choose?
Answer Probably break-dancing.
Question What would you like the QCDO family to know about you?
Answer I consider all of our participants to be a part of my own family, and I want everyone to know how much I value and appreciate them. I welcome all questions and suggestions b/c I learn so much from my QCDO family (instructors, helpers, and especially participants) on a daily basis…I want that to happen every day.
Question What does being an instructor mean to you?
Answer Being an instructor is everything. I’ve truly found myself as an individual by being a QCDO instructor. It’s the part of me that gives me confidence, connects me to all of my communities, and makes be completely happy.
