

My name is Diana Stewart and I love to dance! Over the years, I’ve always been pretty athletic, except for a temporary falling out in my early 20s.
I enjoyed many sports growing up. For 10 years I trained as a figure skater. I also tried my hand at ballet and gymnastics over the years. However, after I went to college, I fell out of my figure skating and never really found an exercise I enjoyed enough to maintain. After gaining my freshmen 15 (plus some more weight after graduating thanks to my stationary desk job and major sweet tooth), I decided enough was enough.
I found Zumba when I was searching for a fun group fitness class and took one of my very first classes with Angie Acosta. I liked her teaching style so much that I found myself following her around to take her other classes. I quickly landed on a regular class, and over time, I lost 25 pounds (while still satisfying that sweet tooth). I became one of Angie’s first Jam Crew members and now — 3 years later — I am one of her instructors!
